A few weeks ago we gave a talk at CassandraSF called Store JSON in Cassandra the Hard Way. Cassandra is one of the core technologies that Keen IO uses to store the data our customers collect. In this talk we draw back the curtain and explain how our Cassandra data model evolved, how it works, and how it makes for lightning-fast queries.
The slides are here, but slides only capture so much. The talk is also about the personal journey of designing a complex system, complete with the highs, the lows and the in-betweens. Talking about that means talking about emotions, and emotions don’t really fit on slides.
To get the full experience you’ll want to watch it live. We’re giving the full talk again at Airconf, so you can watch it this time without leaving your chair.
Store JSON in Cassandra the Hard Way
Wednesday, August 20th, 2pm PST
Airconf is unique. It’s a conference that lasts weeks not days. It’s broadcast worldwide. It is an entirely virtual event. More than 80 software leaders will speaking to thousands to attendees about the evolution of software.
To see the talk, you’ll need to register for Airconf. Registration gives you access to the entire lineup — literally weeks worth of talks and topics to crunch on!
Hope to see you there!
